Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca said Tuesday it's changing its form of the drug it's buying from rival AbbVie, in a move that would save customers the cost.

The British drugmaker said the new name for the cheaper version of Arimidex and Aronidex, an anti-estrogen medication, are "much more accessible and affordable than those available from AstraZeneca."

The move follows an announcement by the drugmaker that it would acquire AbbVie.

It said it expects to sell more drugs to its customers this year and will offer better value and lower cost for patients and other sources.
